Opiate dependency is a serious medical condition that, left untreated, can be fatal. Our treatment service, working jointly with the individual’s physician, provides behavioral counseling to help clients overcome dependence and regain control of their lives.
For clients with opiate dependency, we support the use of withdrawal medications in combination with intensive outpatient treatment. Suboxone is taken orally to alleviate acute withdrawal and post acute withdrawal symptoms which often result in client relapse. The dosage is gradually reduced while the client is in treatment to become drug and alcohol free. We will be happy to refer you to a Suboxone approved physician.
Vivitrol
Similar to Suboxone, Vivitrol is a prescription medication used to relieve opiate cravings in early recovery. Its advantage is that is does not contain any opiate component and therefore is not habit-forming. Vivitrol is administered monthly by injection or quarterly by implantation.
